The learners will be instructed to bring their laptops for this session. They will installed or download the required software for this session beforehand. This session will be conducted in the ICT room (computer lab). Learners will have a conducive environment where most of the basic tools information of the relevant software will be on the bulletin board. I will also prepare some reference books, example “Adobe Photoshop for dummies” and “ Basic tools of Photoshop” for the session.
This session will be conducted in the ICT room with the layout:
I will begin the session with teacher-talk time (for my presentation). Then I will transition into an instructor to help them log on and get set up with the Adobe Photoshop software. Finally, I will be a facilitator as they explore basic tools of the Adobe Photoshop. I will be available to answer questions and also deal with technical and practical issues that arise.
My learners will be actively involved in the lesson. They will be learning to explore basic tools of the software, use different features and function of the tools to edit their images. By actively participating in the session and trying ideas of their own, I hope they will be able to create a series of interesting digital photomontage. A peer observer will be in my class to evaluate my session and fill out the Observer form. I will consult the observer immediately after class to get her immediate feedback. After doing some self-evaluation and allowing my thoughts to settle I will also analyze the Observer form later on that day.
